Accident Compensation Corporation has emerged as a substantial shareholder in Michael Hill International after building a 5.8% stake in the jewellery retailer.
The position comprises 22.39 million shares, with the Crown entity gaining the ability to influence voting and disposal decisions of the ASX and NZX-listed company.
The holding was accumulated through a series of on-market purchases, including a A$1.65m acquisition of five million shares on the ASX on 10 April.
