Auckland resi rents slow as pressures ease

The average weekly rent for a home in Auckland reached $689.78 at the end of December 2024, according to Barfoot & Thompson.
That was up 3.89%, or around $26 more per week, than in December 2023.
Barfoot & Thompson’s general manager of sales, Grant Sykes, said the result for last month followed easing market pressures that drove higher-paced price growth in the first half of 2024.
