JLL is closing its Wellington and Christchurch offices and consolidating its New Zealand presence at its HSBC offices in Auckland.
The global agent confirmed the closures on Thursday, after a consultation period with staff, with up to 40 jobs impacted.
“This move, while resulting in the closure of its Wellington and Christchurch locations, represents a significant investment in Auckland as New Zealand’s primary international business hub,” said the agent in a statement.
BusinessDesk reported two weeks ago that JLL was consulting staff over the closures.
JLL’s New Zealand business is led by managing director Todd Lauchlan.
