Restaurant Brands grows store numbers

Restaurant Brands opened nine new stores in 2024, taking its portfolio to 521 properties.

The company said in its annual report released on Monday that of its 521 properties, 381 were owned and 140 franchised.

Of its owned stores, 155 were in New Zealand, 85 in Australia, 70 in Hawaii and 71 in California.

The company operates the New Zealand franchises for KFC, Pizza Hut, Carl’s Jr. and Taco Bell. It also runs a KFC franchise in New South Wales, Australia and California, and Taco Bell and Pizza Hut franchises in Hawaii, Guam and Saipan.
