Te Pae takes HR sustainability award

Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre has won the Building Sustainability through People accolade at the 2025 New Zealand HR Awards.

“Aligned with Christchurch’s redevelopment vision and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Te Pae set out to create a workplace where employees feel connected to a meaningful purpose,” the judges said.

Te Pae’s human resources director Vanessa McBean said the award reflected the organisation’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, which was central to every aspect of its engagement with its team – from recruitment and training to wellbeing and recognition.

The NZ HR Awards, organised by Human Resources New Zealand, was held on 27 February at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland.
