Goodman Property Trust has secured approval for its proposed move to a corporatised and stapled structure, with the Overseas Investment Office granting an exemption from consent requirements.
The exemption removes a potential barrier under the Overseas Investment Act and was a condition of proceeding with the transaction.
With the requirement now satisfied, the $3bn NZX-listed industrial property vehicle can proceed with its plans to reshape its structure.
The move is expected to streamline the Trust’s capital framework and align it more closely with global REIT-style models.
It also said today that it had paid its third quarter distribution for the period to 31 December 2025.
Investors will receive just over 1.70 cents per unit in cash.
