Tauranga seeks contractor for waterfront plaza

Tauranga City Council is calling for proposals for a main contractor to deliver the new Tauranga Moana Waterfront Central Plaza Contract.

The council said the scope of the contract includes, but is not limited to:

• Demolition/ removal of existing soft and hard landscape
• Decommissioning of the existing water feature and underground pump room
• Improvement of services infrastructure
• New water feature – design and build
• New soft and hard landscape
• New seating area – street furniture supply and installation
• Upgraded lighting
• CCTV installation
• Provide Health & Safety procedures (SSSP)
• Provide a Construction Management Plan (CMP)

Tenderers can apply via the government’s GETS system.
