Wellington Airport has bought a waterfront corner site at Lyall Bay and leased it to café Puku Pies & Kai.
It is the second site purchased and leased by the airport at Lyall Bay Junction, and followed the opening in November of Southward Distillery, which offers tours and tastings as well as retail sales.
“This area is a jewel in Wellington’s crown and a real bright spot of development and positivity,” said Wellington Airport’s commercial general manager, Richard Dalby.
“This is already a popular place for shopping, dining and spending time at the beach and we’re confident Puku will quickly become a must-visit destination for anyone in the area.”
