The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand has appointed Lizzy Ryley its new chief executive.

Ryley was chief executive of Loyalty New Zealand for almost eight years up until April, when the organisation closed following the ending of its Flybuys scheme.
Prior to that, she was director of marketing at the Australian National University, and was previously chief loyalty and data officer at Woolworths Group in Australia.
She will fill the vacancy created by the departure of Jen Baird, who left REINZ to join Bayleys this month as executive director of Auckland residential.
“Lizzy brings a deep understanding of how to create meaningful value for members, supported by innovation, insight, and operational excellence,” said REINZ chair Kevin Jenkins in a media release.
“Her experience leading complex organisations, both in New Zealand and overseas, made her a standout choice for this role.
“In particular, her leadership at Flybuys through a period of transformation demonstrated a clear ability to modernise systems, drive engagement, and deliver strong results – all attributes that will support REINZ’s continued evolution.”
Ryley said REINZ “has a proud history and a clear purpose in supporting a trusted, future-ready profession”.
“I’m excited to be joining, and to help build on the work already underway.”
She started in the role this week on Monday, taking over from acting chief executive Rowan Dixon.
