Warakirri Asset Management has launched a new dairy strategy across its 57 farms in New Zealand and Australia.
The Melbourne-based company said the strategy aimed to deliver returns of over 10% per annum by investing in a diversified portfolio of investment grade dairy farming and infrastructure assets.
The new plan will be led by Ben James, who is the current chief executive of Aurora Dairies.
Warakirri’s managing director, Jim McKay, said: “We believe significant long term investment opportunities continue to exist in the dairy industry and have seen a constant increase in demand for milk and dairy products both domestically and in the Asia Pacific region.”
