Construction roles fell in December 2024 by 6.1%, or 12,745 jobs, compared to the same month a year earlier.
Stats NZ’s employment indicators for December 2024 released on Tuesday also showed that overall filled jobs dropped 1.2% to 2.39 million.
The total number of Auckland jobs fell by 1.7% and Wellington dropped by 1.8% compared to December 2023.
