Rydges Latimer scores sustainability first

Rydges Latimer Christchurch has become the first New Zealand hotel to achieve Sustainable Tourism Certification.

The accreditation by Ecotourism Australia certifies operators based on their efforts to minimise negative environmental impacts and boost benefits for the environment, communities and culture.

“We are committed to our sustainability journey that entails choosing better for our customers, community and planet,” said Simon White, country Manager for EVT Hotels New Zealand and Pacific. 

“Through strong relationships with suppliers, and working closely with our community through considered partnerships, the wider hotel team has certainly done the mahi to ensure Rydges Latimer Christchurch is on the right path.”
