Kiwi Property’s Resido awarded 9-Star Homestar rating…

Kiwi Property’s build-to-rent scheme Resido has been awarded a 9-star Homestar Built rating from the New Zealand Green Building Council.

With 295 apartments adjacent to Auckland’s Sylvia Park, Resido is New Zealand’s largest build-to-rent community.

“We are proud to have this independent verification showing the high quality of sustainability initiatives possible in large-scale residential developments,” Kiwi Property head of development Greg Tolley said.

NZGBC chief executive Andrew Eagles said Resido’s design underwent a full life cycle assessment to gauge and reduce emissions, and comprehensive energy modelling to help reduce winter heating demand, as well as overheating risk during summer months.
